Refund Policy

Effective date: 19 September 2026 Last updated: 19 September 2026

This Refund Policy explains when and how you can get your money back for a paid purchase on imagespeckit.com ("ImageSpecKit", the "Service"), operated by JI'AN WANGDONG TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. (吉安市旺东科技有限公司) ("we", "us", "our").

It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Our plans and prices are on our pricing page.

The company behind the Service. JI'AN WANGDONG TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. (吉安市旺东科技有限公司) is a limited liability company registered in the People's Republic of China, Unified Social Credit Code 91360802MADAP1JBXQ, registered at Room 806, No.801, Zongshanghui Building, No.9 Jinggangshan Avenue, Jizhou District, Ji'an, Jiangxi 343000, China. (The English name above is the translation we use consistently in English-language materials; Chinese business licences record only the Chinese name.)

Not live yet. The paid products described in this policy (together, the "Paid Services") are not yet available for purchase. Our Paddle account is still subject to Paddle's own onboarding and review, and no payment has been taken through the Service. This policy describes how refunds will work once we launch the Paid Services; nothing in it states or implies that any plan, pass, credit pack or checkout is live today. The free tools on imagespeckit.com are live and cost nothing.

This policy covers purchases made on imagespeckit.com and processed by Paddle. If you ever obtain access through a reseller or another marketplace, that seller's refund terms govern your purchase and you should contact them first.

1. The short version

  • We do not treat purchases as non-refundable. Every Paid Service has a refund window, and you also keep any refund or cancellation rights your local law gives you.
  • You can request a refund within 14 days of the charge for a Pro subscription, a 7-day pass or a credit pack. For an annual Pro subscription you get a full refund within the first 14 days, and a pro rata refund of the remaining whole months from day 15 to day 30 (see section 4.2).
  • Credits you have already spent are not refundable under our voluntary policy, because each spent credit corresponds to processing we have already performed. Unspent credits are refunded pro rata. If you are an EU, EEA or UK consumer, section 6 may still give you more than this.
  • Cancelling is not the same as refunding. You can cancel a subscription at any time; cancellation stops the next charge and your plan runs to the end of the period you already paid for.
  • Refunds will be issued by Paddle, our merchant of record, back to your original payment method, including any VAT or sales tax Paddle collected.
  • Beyond these windows we can still issue a refund as a goodwill gesture — just ask, and tell us what went wrong.

2. Who will charge you, and who will refund you

Our orders and payments will be handled by Paddle (paddle.com). Paddle Ltd and its affiliates will act as the merchant of record for purchases made through ImageSpecKit. This means Paddle — not us — will be the seller of record for the transaction: Paddle will contract with you for the sale, issue your invoice or receipt, collect and remit any VAT or sales tax due in your jurisdiction, and process payments and refunds.

As noted above, our Paddle account has not yet completed Paddle's review, so no checkout is live today. This section describes the arrangement that will apply once it is.

Practically, this will mean:

  1. You ask us for a refund (see section 3), and we assess it under this policy. Paddle, as merchant of record, may also reach its own decision under its buyer terms; where Paddle's decision is more favourable to you, that is the one that applies.
  2. Once approved, Paddle executes the refund to the original payment method.
  3. Your purchase will also be subject to Paddle's buyer terms, published on paddle.com, which apply alongside this policy. Nothing in this policy reduces any right Paddle's terms or your local law give you.

We will not ask you for card numbers, bank details or other payment credentials in order to process a refund — we do not need them and we never handle them. If anyone claiming to be ImageSpecKit asks you for those details, it is not us.

3. How to request a refund

Email support@imagespeckit.com with:

  • the email address used for the purchase;
  • the Paddle order, invoice or receipt number (it is in the receipt Paddle emailed you);
  • what you bought; and
  • a short note on why you would like a refund (optional for requests inside the standard window, but it helps us fix things).

You can also reach us by phone on +86 182 7962 2556 (Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00 China Standard Time (UTC+8)), or by post at the registered address in the header of this policy. You may instead go directly to Paddle, using the contact details on your receipt — you do not have to come to us first.

You do not need to use any particular form of words. Any clear statement that you want your money back is enough.

Our response times. We aim to acknowledge every refund request within 2 business days and to approve or decline it within 5 business days. Where your request is a statutory withdrawal under section 6, we will process the reimbursement within 14 days of being informed, as required by law.

We do not charge any handling, restocking or administrative fee for a refund.

4. Refund rules by Paid Service

All windows below run from the date of the charge shown on your Paddle receipt. Where a statutory right applies, its own start date governs — see section 6.

The Paid Services are, in the terms used throughout our documents:

  • a Pro subscription, billed monthly or annually;
  • a 7-day pass — a one-off purchase giving full access for seven days;
  • credit packs — one-off purchases of credits, used for features that carry a per-file cost; and
  • the Developer API — usage-based, and coming soon: it is not yet available, requests to our API paths currently return an error, and the site marks it as coming soon.

Which features sit in which tier, the sizes of the credit packs and all current prices are on our pricing page (https://imagespeckit.com/pricing). This policy deliberately does not repeat them, so that pricing changes never make this document wrong. If you bought something that is not described below, the general rules in sections 1, 3, 5, 6 and 7 still apply to it in full.

4.1 Free web tools

The free tools on imagespeckit.com are free — no account is needed, and the limits that apply to a free batch (the maximum number of images per batch and the maximum size of a single image) are shown on the drop area before you choose any file. There is nothing to refund, and nothing in this policy limits your continued use of them.

(For clarity, because it affects how the rest of this section reads: our free image compression and format conversion tools run entirely in your own browser, and images processed with them are not uploaded to us. Where a tool needs server-side processing to work, we say so on that tool's own page before you use it. Images are sent to our servers only where you explicitly choose server-side processing, or where you use the Developer API — and in those cases the files you send us are processed in memory only and are never written to disk or stored, while the results we return are retained for at most one hour so that you can download them and are then deleted automatically; neither is backed up or archived. Our Privacy Policy is the authoritative description of all of this.)

4.2 Pro subscription (monthly or annual)

Refund window What you get
Monthly — first charge 14 days Full refund
Annual — first charge Days 1–14 Full refund
Annual — first charge Days 15–30 Pro rata refund of the remaining whole months
Any renewal charge 14 days Full refund, provided the new period has not been substantially used

"Substantially used" has a single objective meaning: you have used more than 20% of the credits or paid processing allowance included in the new billing period. Below that line we refund the renewal in full. Above it, we refund the unused part pro rata as described in section 4.4. We apply the test in your favour where it is a close call — it exists to stop a renewal being used as a free month, not to catch normal users who simply forgot to cancel.

Where a plan includes an allowance of credits, credits already spent in the period being refunded are deducted as described in section 4.4.

4.3 The 7-day pass

  • Unused: if no paid processing has been run under the pass, you get a full refund if you ask within 14 days of purchase.
  • Partly used: we refund the unused part of the pass, calculated on a daily basis, if you ask within 14 days of purchase.
  • Fully used or expired: no refund is due under this section, but we will still consider a partial or full refund where the service did not work as described, or as a goodwill gesture.

If you are an EU, EEA or UK consumer, section 6 applies to a 7-day pass and may give you more than this section does.

4.4 Credit packs

Credit packs are treated differently from subscriptions, because credits are consumed against processing we actually perform:

  • No credits spent: full refund if you ask within 14 days of purchase.
  • Some credits spent: pro rata refund of the unspent credits, calculated at the effective per-credit price you paid for that pack, if you ask within 14 days of purchase. The spent credits are not refundable under this section.
  • All credits spent: no refund is due under this section, but we will still look at your request if the output was defective or the service failed (see section 5).

Why we draw the line here: a spent credit means a file has already been processed on our servers and delivered to you. That part of the service has been performed and cannot be returned. Unspent credits, by contrast, are simply money held against future processing, so we return them.

Refunded credits are removed from your balance when the refund is issued.

4.5 Developer API usage (coming soon)

The Developer API is not yet available. When it launches, usage-based charges already incurred for successfully completed requests will not be refundable under this section, for the same reason as spent credits. Charges for requests that failed on our side, or that were billed in error, are refunded in full — see section 5.

4.6 What happens to your access after a refund

  • A full refund of a Pro subscription or a 7-day pass ends the paid entitlement: paid features stop when the refund is issued, and you drop back to the free tools.
  • A pro rata refund ends the paid entitlement on the same date; we do not leave a partly refunded plan running.
  • Refunded credits are removed from your balance when the refund is issued. If your balance is lower than the number of credits being refunded, we refund against the balance you actually have.
  • A refund does not by itself delete your account or any data. If you also want your account closed, say so and we will handle it under our Privacy Policy.

5. Things we always refund

Regardless of the windows above, we will refund you in full where:

  • you were charged in error, charged twice for the same thing, or charged after you validly cancelled;
  • the paid service was materially unavailable or broken for a meaningful part of the period you paid for, and we could not fix it in reasonable time;
  • a paid feature does not do what we described on the site at the time you bought it; or
  • the charge was not authorised by you (please also tell your bank or card issuer).

Three further situations, which correspond to commitments we make in our Terms of Service:

  • We discontinue a Paid Service you have bought. If we stop offering it, we will give reasonable notice and refund the unused portion of what you paid, calculated pro rata to the end of the period you had paid for (section 15 of the Terms). For unspent credits, we refund them at the effective per-credit price you paid.
  • We change the Terms in a way that materially affects your rights and you do not accept the change. If you cancel before the change takes effect, we refund the unused remainder of the current billing period pro rata, and any unspent credits (section 21 of the Terms).
  • We terminate your access for a reason that is not your breach. We refund the unused portion of what you paid, on the same pro rata basis (section 20 of the Terms).

If a defect affects only part of what you bought, we may offer a partial refund, a credit top-up, or an extension of your plan — your choice. Any such offer is in addition to, not instead of, any remedy mandatory law gives you, including any right to a price reduction or to end the contract.

6. Your statutory right of withdrawal (EU / EEA and UK consumers)

If you are a consumer in the European Union, the EEA or the United Kingdom, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract for digital content or digital services, without giving any reason.

When the 14 days start. The statutory period runs for 14 days from the day the contract was concluded — for our products, the day Paddle confirms your order. (Our own voluntary windows in section 4 run from the date of the charge; where the two differ, whichever is more favourable to you applies.)

Digital services — a Pro subscription, a 7-day pass and Developer API access. Under Article 16(a) of Directive 2011/83/EU, and regulation 36 of the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you lose the withdrawal right for a digital service only once the service has been fully performed, and only where performance began at your express request and you acknowledged that you would lose the right once it was fully performed. A Pro subscription, a 7-day pass or Developer API access that is still running has not been fully performed, so your 14-day right survives. If you withdraw while it is running, you pay only a proportionate amount for what was actually supplied up to the moment you told us — calculated on a daily basis against the total contract price, under Article 14(3) and regulation 36(4) — and nothing at all if we failed to give you the required pre-contractual information about the withdrawal right.

Digital content supplied without a tangible medium. Where what you bought counts as digital content rather than a digital service, Article 16(m) of the Directive (and regulation 37(1) of the UK Regulations) applies instead. There, the withdrawal right is lost only where all of the following are true:

  1. you gave your express prior consent for performance to begin during the withdrawal period; and
  2. you acknowledged that you would thereby lose your right of withdrawal; and
  3. we (through Paddle) provided you with confirmation of that agreement on a durable medium.

Where the checkout asks you to confirm those things before your payment is taken, that confirmation is what the law requires, and Paddle's receipt serves as the record. If you were not asked for that consent, or you did not give it, your 14-day withdrawal right remains fully intact and you may exercise it for any reason at all — including for access already used — by contacting us at support@imagespeckit.com or by using Paddle's own refund process. You may, but do not have to, use the model withdrawal form in Annex A below.

Renewals. A renewal of an existing subscription is generally a continuation of the same contract rather than a new distance contract, so it does not usually attract a fresh statutory withdrawal right. Our own 14-day renewal window in section 4.2 applies to it regardless.

Where you validly withdraw, we will reimburse all payments received from you (less any proportionate amount properly due under Article 14(3) / regulation 36(4)), using the same means of payment you used, within 14 days of being informed, and we will not charge you a fee for the reimbursement.

Our own windows in section 4 are at least as long as the statutory 14 days, but the amount refunded can differ — in some cases the statutory route gives you more. Where it does, take the statutory route: we will not hold you to section 4 when section 6 gives you more.

7. Your other consumer rights

7.1 Mandatory law always wins

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence — including, where applicable, statutory rights relating to digital content or digital services that are not of satisfactory quality, not as described, or not fit for purpose (for example under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, EU Directive (EU) 2019/770, or the Australian Consumer Law).

Where this policy and a mandatory law of your country of residence conflict, that law wins.

7.2 United States — automatic renewal

Pro subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Several US states (California and New York among them) require us to tell you this clearly, to remind you how to stop it, and to let you cancel online in the same way you signed up. You can cancel at any time using the subscription-management link in your Paddle receipt, or by emailing support@imagespeckit.com — we will not put you through a retention call or require a phone call to cancel. Your state may give you refund or cancellation rights beyond this policy; section 7.1 preserves them.

7.3 Business customers

Sections 6 and 7.2 apply to consumers — people buying for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession. If you are buying as a business (including most Developer API customers), those statutory consumer rights do not apply to you, and the contractual windows in sections 4 and 5 are what you can rely on. Everything else in this policy applies to you in the same way.

8. How the money comes back

Once the Paid Services launch and a refund is approved:

  • Refunds are made by Paddle to the original payment method. We cannot send a refund to a different card, account or wallet.
  • Refunds include any VAT, GST or sales tax Paddle collected on the original charge. Partial refunds include the tax on the refunded portion.
  • Refunds are issued in the currency of the original transaction. If your bank converted currency when you paid, the amount you finally receive may differ slightly because of exchange-rate movements or fees charged by your bank; we cannot influence the rate your bank uses.
  • Timing: Paddle issues approved refunds according to its own processing times. How long the money then takes to appear on your statement depends on your card issuer or bank, and we will not quote you a figure we do not control.
  • If a refund has not appeared 10 business days after we told you it was issued, contact us and we will chase it with Paddle.

9. Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel at any time, with no cancellation fee, through your Paddle receipt's subscription-management link or by emailing support@imagespeckit.com.

When you cancel:

  • your plan stays active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for;
  • you are not automatically refunded for the unused remainder of that period, unless one of the refund routes above applies; and
  • you will not be charged again.

Cancelling does not by itself request a refund, and requesting a refund does not by itself cancel a subscription. If you want both, say so.

10. When we may decline a refund

We may decline a refund where:

  • the request falls outside the applicable window and none of sections 5, 6 or 7 applies;
  • the purchase or the account shows signs of fraud, payment abuse, or reseller/chargeback abuse;
  • there is a clear pattern of buying, using and refunding the same product repeatedly; or
  • the amount was already refunded, or is already the subject of a chargeback.

Where we terminated your access because the service was used in breach of our Terms of Service — for example to process infringing material or to circumvent technical protection measures — we may decline to refund the part of the period during which you had access. We will still return money for a period we never provided.

We may also decline to sell to you in future. What we will not do is limit in advance any refund you are owed under sections 5, 6 or 7, or under mandatory law: those apply whatever this section says.

If we decline, we will tell you why, in writing.

11. Chargebacks

Please contact us before asking your bank to reverse a charge. A chargeback typically freezes the account and the disputed order while the bank investigates, which makes it slower than simply emailing us — in most cases we can refund you faster than a chargeback can.

If a chargeback is raised, we and Paddle may suspend paid access that is funded by the disputed charge, for as long as the dispute is open. We restore it immediately if the dispute is resolved in your favour, and raising a chargeback never affects your statutory rights.

12. If you are not happy with our decision

  1. Reply to our email and ask us to look again — a different person will review it.
  2. Raise it with Paddle, using the contact details on your receipt. As merchant of record, Paddle can act under its own buyer terms.
  3. Contact the consumer protection authority or consumer advice body in your country of residence. EU and UK consumers can also use any competent alternative dispute resolution body their national law makes available; we are not currently signed up to a specific ADR scheme, and we would rather say so plainly than point you at one that does not cover us.

None of these steps takes away your right to go to court.

13. Age and capacity

ImageSpecKit is not intended for, and may not be used by, children under 13. We do not knowingly enter into paid transactions with anyone under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only make a purchase with the consent of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy — for example when we add a Paid Service or change how refunds are handled. We will change the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will give notice on the site or by email to account holders where we have one.

The version of this policy in force on the date of your purchase is the one that applies to that purchase. Changes are not applied retroactively to reduce your rights in respect of something you have already bought. We keep dated copies of earlier versions; email support@imagespeckit.com and we will send you the one that applied on the day you bought.

15. Language

The English version of this Refund Policy is the authoritative text. We may provide a Chinese translation for convenience; if there is any inconsistency between the English version and a translation, the English version prevails — except that if you contracted with us in a language other than English and a mandatory law of your country of residence entitles you to rely on the version presented to you in that language, that law wins.
